Announcing the 2024 CILTs!

We are thrilled to announce the Campers in Leadership Training for the Summer of 2024! In total, we had over sixty-five campers apply for the CILT program. It’s truly heartening to see so many dedicated campers choosing to return to camp following their junior and senior years of high school. The process of selecting our CILTs is always a challenging one, as we’ve had the privilege of watching these applicants grow up at camp.

Regrettably, we cannot accommodate all applicants in the CILT program. While we make every effort to accept all qualified candidates, we have learned that the CILT experience can be compromised if we accept too many participants. We also take into consideration the connection between the campers, the experience of the director and assistant director of the specific unit, and the demographics of the unit. Unfortunately, the limited availability of spots means that we cannot accommodate all deserving applicants, even those who have been a part of the Cheley community for many years. Some campers may also opt to return as regular campers instead of participating in the CILT program.

The individuals listed below have been chosen based on their extensive involvement at camp, the quality of their applications, the votes of their peers and the unit’s staff, and the recommendations provided by their directors. We’re confident that these exceptional individuals will contribute to the continued success of our camp community in the Summer of 2024!

CILTs will spend time in a leadership orientation and consistent follow-up, will exchange to a different unit for a week, and will receive support from me, the Boys’/Girls’ Camp Directors, and their assistant directors. Congratulations to all of our CILTs! See you in the summer.
